| Get Ready | Visit PublicAlerts.org to learn and prepare yourself for local emergencies. |
|---|---|
| Get Involved | Support your neighborhood by volunteering to be a Neighborhood Emergency Team (NET) member. During a citywide or regional emergency such as a severe winter storm, flood, or major earthquake, volunteer neighborhood rescuers will likely be first on-the-scene when firefighters and police are slowed by impassable streets or overwhelmed by calls for help. |
Overview
Anyone living or working within South Burlingame is welcome to join us.
We are the South Burlingame Neighborhood Emergency Team (NET), and we’re a group of your neighbors trained by the Portland Bureau of Emergency Management and Portland Fire & Rescue to assist our community in the event of disaster. Our goal is to be an asset to the community during a time of crisis. We’re busy working with the South Burlingame Disaster Preparedness Team to hold block parties, developing a neighborhood / business emergency preparedness program, and creating a neighborhood emergency medical supply storage program. Your contribution to these and other projects is welcome and needed.
