Get Ready Visit PublicAlerts.org to learn and prepare yourself for local emergencies.
Get Involved Support your neighborhood by volunteering to be a Neighborhood Emergency Team (NET) member. During a citywide or regional emergency such as a severe winter storm, flood, or major earthquake, volunteer neighborhood rescuers will likely be first on-the-scene when firefighters and police are slowed by impassable streets or overwhelmed by calls for help.

Overview

We work as a team to strengthen community resilience, promote individual disaster preparedness, and help reduce the burden on professional responders during emergencies.

Workshops

The Overlook NET team coordinates trainings/workshops monthly either in Overlook or with one of our sister neighborhoods. During nicer weather we try to meet outdoors such as at Beach Elementary.

We strongly encourage all community members to join us, NET-trained or not. We want to meet you, because we believe everyone has something to contribute.
