PBEM recognizes the leadership and commitment of he and his colleagues (Darshanpreet Gill and Aaron Olson) to empower high school students with essential emergency response skills through TeenCERT. |Aaron is a teacher at Ida B. Wells High School and the first teacher to promote TeenCERT at PPS. PBEM recognizes the leadership and commitment of he and his colleagues (Darshanpreet Gill and Jonny Lewis) to empower high school students with essential emergency response skills through TeenCERT. Together, they have significantly extended the reach of TeenCERT programming, enriched the lives of their students, and contributed to a more resilient Portland.

|Herb is a master instructor for Portland NET. He began instructing with us in 2018. Since then, he has instructed on numerous topics for 47 NET classes and counting. He has also instructed at Final Field Exercises, and at the Benson High School Disaster Academy. He has particularly made contributions to our radio communications curriculum. PBEM appreciates his dedication and attention to detail in the curriculum. We look forward to working with him for years to come.
