Ed Myers (not only a NET but well known NET trainer) received a 2023 Bronze Volunteer Service Award for contributing the most hours in Oregon's State Managed Volunteer Pool (SMVP) for Medical Reserve Corps (MRC), with 160 hours under his belt. Though this was not awarded through his time with Portland NET, MRC is a "sister" organization and a Citizen Corps program, and we'd like to recognize Ed's achievement here as well. The citation on his certificate reads:
''In recognition of your outstanding contribution of 160 volunteer hours during 2023 & 2024 as a member of SERV-OR's State Managed Volunteer Pool. For your professionalism, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the health and safety of your community and our nation, thank you. You answered the call to serve and you made a difference.''
