Portland's communities and local government come together through PBEM on a mission to build our resilience to disasters. The individuals who do this, who we call "Portland Community Resilience Champions", are NET volunteers, COAD members, government workers, faith leaders, nonprofit employees, business leaders, and neighbors. We wish to recognize all of them. In doing so, we cultivate a shared history and culture of resilience in Portland that instills pride, meaning, and connectedness.
