How to Create a NET Radio Map

1. Write your NET radio mapping plan. We have 2 great examples (St Johns and NW District). Don’t be shy, steal what you need from these plans to create yours. See RTL.PBEM Google drive folder NET radio mapping.
2. Take about 30 minutes to one hour to review your plan and discuss it with your NET team. You can do that during a monthly NET meeting with your team. Or you can schedule a separate NET radio mapping meeting.
3. With about 10 people (NET members and other volunteers) it takes about 2 to 3 hours to run the test. Don’t hesitate to invite NET members from other NET teams for that mapping exercise. That is actually recommended, so that more people from different NET participate in such radio mapping fun test and learn how to do it for their own NET.
4. Perform data analysis in Excel or Google Sheets and create the maps. Check the Excel file and modify it for your NET radio map. If you need help, don’t hesitate to contact the radio mapping expert Nick McCullar.
5. Update your NET Operations Plan and include the radio maps.
