NET Operations Planning Survey

From WikiNET

THIS PAGE, AS WELL AS THIS WHOLE CONCEPT, UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Considerations:

  • What about team accounts with money? Probably need to help them negotiate funds divisions.
  • Can "orphan NETs" decide to affiliate with a team instead of starting their own? I think we have to start that way...

Operations Plan Header

Considerations: this should print out as the "portable" version of the Ops Plan, if people want that.

  1. NET Team Leader Name: Last name, first name. This should be the name of the "blue skies" TL, not the ITL.
  2. Team Name: Team name determined by the NET and based on the geography of the service area. Subject to PBEM approval. Examples: "Ladd's Circle East" or "Belmont-Sunnyside", "Brooklyn Park", etc.
  3. Team Identifier: This will be assigned by PBEM. It will be a two-letter abbreviation of the neighborhood's "quadrant" followed by a three digit number sequential to when the team was assigned a number. If a team is in more than one quadrant, the TL can choose which quadrant to affiliate with. Examples: SW001, NW002, SO003. This should go on ID badges later.
  4. Team Service Area: To be decided by a Team. It can be any area they choose and any size, as long as it doesn't impinge on another team's area. The area can also be changed over time (grow or shrink); boundaries are not considered permanent. How is this is determined: A NET should come together and discuss it, with the TL making the final determination. Members should consider resources and risks in a prospective service area and "rightsize" their service area accordingly. In the survey:
    • Submit a description of the service area boundaries (e.g. north to NE Oregon St., east to NE 24th Ave, south along Sandy Blvd, west to NE and attach 18th Ave.
    • Use the map tool to draw a map and attach as an image from the Community Resiliency Mapper
  5. Nearest Fire Station: Use this map to find out which it is. In the survey:
    • Drop down selection with station number and address
    • Name of fire captain
    • Has your team contacted the Captain yet?
  6. NET Staging Areas: Determined by the team (we should have an article on NET Staging Areas and things to consider). They can change. In the survey:
    • Input addresses for both primary and secondary staging areas. If there is trouble finding an address, use PortlandMaps.
  7. Tactical radio frequency: Indication of which FRS or GMRS channel the team will use. Primary and backup. It should be reflected in THIS MAP.
