Registered students should keep an eye on their email for updates, or check back here. Please do not email PBEM to request news, because we are busy coordinating storm response not only for your training, but for the city as a whole. We promise to send you new information the moment it becomes available. :-)
Saturday, 01/13
This Segment A session has been switched online instead of in-person, as scheduled 0900-1500.
Trainees may choose one of two options:
- Participate as planned, but from home via Zoom.To choose this option: Register for the Saturday Zoom session here to immediately receive your personalized access link via email. This will be how I take attendance, so please use your full name. Join the meeting by 08:50am Saturday, in case Zoom forces you to update your software. That’s it, you’re all set! (You do not need to have a working camera and mic, though it is preferable. The session will not be recorded.)
- Pro: You remain on your chosen schedule. And these will be your only NET training session where pajamas will be considered appropriate attire. ;-)
- Con: Although you will still receive the same high-quality training, you will miss the in-class camaraderie that normally develops during units ‘0/Into to NET’ and ‘2/NET Operations’. However, you still have Segments B, C, and FFE to get to know the rest of your crew.
- Change your Segment A registration from 01/13 to 02/21 in MIP.To choose this option: Log in to MIP, and go to Opportunities > Basic NET Training. Sign up for the Segment A 02/21 in-person session. (You may delete 01/13 if you like, but it is not required. I will do the housekeeping later.) Make a note in your personal calendar, and you’re done!
- Pro: You will receive the full-in person experience, for those who do not embrace online training.
- Con: You probably will end up doing household chores instead.
Sunday, 01/14
Segment B is expected to proceed in-person as scheduled. An update will be posted no later than Saturday, 01/13 at 1700 (05:00pm), one way or the other. Registration is closed to new participants, but enrollees may change their registration until 24 hours before class.
Saturday, 01/20
Segment C will proceed in-person as scheduled. Registration is closed to new participants, but enrollees may change their registration until 24 hours before class.
Sunday, 01/21
Segment A will proceed in-person as scheduled. Registration is closed to new participants, but enrollees may change their registration until 24 hours before class.
Saturday, 01/27
Segment B will proceed in-person as scheduled. Registration is closed to new participants, but enrollees may change their registration until 24 hours before class.
Sunday, 01/28
Segment C will proceed in-person as scheduled. Registration is closed to new participants, but enrollees may change their registration until 24 hours before class.
Saturday, 02/03
The Final Field Exercise will proceed in-person as scheduled. Registration is closed to new participants, but enrollees may change their registration until 24 hours before class.
Sunday, 02/04
The Final Field Exercise will proceed in-person as scheduled. Registration is closed to new participants, but enrollees may change their registration until 24 hours before class.
