PBEM understands that the cost of childcare can be a barrier to volunteering. So we have partnered with the nonprofit organization [https://www.politisit.org/ Politisit], who will reimburse up to $200/month for a NET volunteer's childcare while you attend certain PBEM trainings and events! We realize this is not a perfect solution because it requires volunteers to go out-of-pocket, and it probably does not cover the cost of care for all four days of Basic NET Training. However, this is the best arrangement we have been able to establish under city finance rules so far.
