Hours Categories

These are hours reports that come from MIP. The reports are taken quarterly and reflect when a volunteer reports, not necessarily when the activity took place (which is why, for example, you might see BNT hours logged in a quarter where there was no Basic NET class).

Basic NET Training

• Refresher training
• Mandatory Reporter for Child and Elder Abuse
• Independent Study
• Unit 9
• Unit 8

Advanced NET Training/Exercises

• Zoom trainings/lectures
• Conferences
• Basic BEECN training (basic training for a VSF is advanced training)
• Serving as a survivor actor

Deployment Hours/Program Service

Basic criteria: hours logged by NETs that are paraprofessional activities.

• NET Meetings
• Event planning meetings (e.g. CDE or NETcamp planning meetings)
• Moulage
• TSA K-9 Decoy
• Clearing storm drains
• Instruction
• BEECN or radio maintenance
• Friends of Portland NET activities
• Wiki work
• Team Leader responsibilities
• Anniversary parties

Community Engagement

Hours logged only for public facing events, including trainings for community groups.
