Get Involved Support your neighborhood by volunteering to be a Neighborhood Emergency Team (NET) member. During a citywide or regional emergency such as a severe winter storm, flood, or major earthquake, volunteer neighborhood rescuers will likely be first on-the-scene when firefighters and police are slowed by impassable streets or overwhelmed by calls for help.

Overview

The South Waterfront Neighborhood Emergency Team (SoWa NET) covers the area from the Ross Island Bridge on the north to Bancroft Street on the south, and from Interstate 5 on the west to the Willamette River on the east.

Meetings

We meet the first Thursday of every other month at 7:00 p.m., every other month (Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sep, Nov) via Zoom or as a hybrid of Zoom and in-person at a location to be announced. All are welcome are welcome to attend, whether or not one is NET-certified. Email the address above and to the right with questions, including how to access meetings.
