NET Members

• Members are encouraged to specialize in one of the Volunteer Support Functions.
• In order to maintain Active status, volunteers will contribute minimum hours of volunteer service each calendar year, called the Minimum Service Contribution (MSC)
  • If they can't, but want to remain involved, they can become Affiliated Team Volunteers (ATVs).
  • Record volunteer service hours using MyImpact.

NET Teams

• Volunteers are organized into neighborhood-level teams. See the Teams page to find yours.
• Teams are lead by team leaders.
  • There is a training program to improve team leadership skills.
• Teams decide on their own activities, agendas, and meeting schedules.

Communication

• Many NET volunteers participate in the PortlandPrepares Facebook group.
• portlandnet_tl Google Group for anyone interested in NET leadership
• portlandnet_aro Google Group for questions and comments related to Portland NET's use of Amateur Radio and FRS/GMRS Radio
• There are weekly NET amateur radio meetings.

Deployment Exercises

Aside from the exercises individual NETs plan (maybe with neighboring NETs), there are a few opportunities to practice your skills at larger events:
