The Portland NET monthly simplex exercises are held at 7 pm on the first Sunday of each month. These exercises help us build skills that will be critical during a major deployment when normal communication methods like telephone systems, the Internet and even Amateur Radio repeaters may not be available. Two email messages are sent each month to amateur radio operators affiliated with the NET program. Note: on these nights, there will not be a ChatNet.

  • About 10 days in advance: A "save the date" with a hint about the theme of the next exercise
  • About 3 days in advance: A message that includes a link to detailed instructions

If you are affiliated with the Portland NET program and have not been receiving monthly notices about these exercises, please drop a note to bruceschafer1@gmail.com
